Wages: $21.30/hr

Overtime Conditions: As per BC Provincial Standards

Job Duties:

Prepare soil, fields, and beds for planting, seeding, and transplanting
Plant seeds and seedlings in designated field areas
Water crops and assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of irrigation systems
Apply fertilizers, soil amendments, and crop protection products as directed
Monitor crops for growth, weeds, pests, and disease, and report issues to the supervisor
Perform hoeing, hand weeding, and other general crop-maintenance duties
Harvest watermelon, muskmelon, and cauliflower by hand according to farm quality standards
Sort, handle, and move harvested produce carefully to avoid damage
Clean and maintain farm tools, equipment, and work areas
Assist with receiving farm supplies, post-harvest cleanup, and general farm maintenance

Working Condition: Outdoors, wet/damp, rain/ shine, odours, hot/cold.
