Work location: On site
Salary: $35.00 to $40.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 to 35 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time (Evening, Morning, Night)
Start Date: Starts as soon as possible

Job Requirements
Languages:
English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Tasks

  • Examine coffee machines (automatic, semi‑automatic, commercial espresso machines, pod brewers, etc.) to identify mechanical or electrical faults.
  • Use diagnostic tools and checklists to determine whether components are malfunctioning, worn, or need replacement.
  • Repair or replace defective or worn‑out components such as pumps, heating elements, valves, seals, switches, circuit boards, grinders and other moving parts.
  • Use specialized hand tools, power tools and measurement instruments safely and effectively. 
  • After repairs, test coffee machines to ensure proper functionality, correct brewing temperatures, consistent pressure, and safe operation.
  • Adjust machine settings or calibrate sensors to optimal manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as descaling, lubrication, cleaning of brew heads, filters, and grinders to prevent breakdowns.
  • Record details of inspections, diagnosed problems, replaced parts, and hours worked on each machine.
  • Update repair logs and communicate with supervisors or customers regarding repair status and recommendations.
  • Consult with customers to understand the coffee machine issues they’re experiencing (e.g., failure to brew, leakages, strange noises).
  • Explain repair outcomes, maintenance tips, warranty coverage and timelines clearly and professionally.
  • Maintain and organize spare parts stock for common components (gaskets, pumps, filters, drip trays) used in coffee machine repairs.
  • Order new parts when stock levels are low to ensure repair operations run smoothly.
