Sunrise Freight Systems Inc., located at 11 Sloan Drive, Caledon, Ontario L7C 2B8 is looking for a Truck Driver- Flatbed for a permanent full-time position.

Main Duties of theTruck Driver- Flatbed (NOC 73300):
- Safely operate, drive long-combination vehicle to transport goods and material, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories to ensure safety and compliance
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
- Secure loads using chains, and straps properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting goods.
- Communicate any delays due to road conditions, accidents or breakdown with dispatchers using on-board communication devices
- Logging hours and distances driven, rest stop durations, fuel consumption, repair and toll expenses
- Performing service checks on tire pressure, oil, and fluids levels as well as minor repairs when required
- Obtain necessary documentation, permits to transport goods
- Interact with customers in a professional manner and address their complaints and concerns with Dispatch Supervisor.
Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School is required
Valid AZ Class License, and clean abstracts required
2 years of commercial heavy truck driving experience required
Minimum 6 months Flatbed experience
Wage:
$36.04/ hour, 40 hours/week
