- $36.06 to $37.00 hourly (to be negotiated)
- 30 to 44 hours per week
About Us
BAO Laboratory is a cosmetics manufacturer specializing in innovative skincare and beauty products. To support our growing production needs, we are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to handle day-to-day procurement of raw materials, packaging, and related supplies.
Responsibilities
- Purchase cosmetic raw materials (fragrances, emulsifiers, essential oils, active ingredients) and packaging materials (bottles, jars, labels, boxes) based on production requirements.
- Develop and maintain purchase specifications in coordination with R&D and production teams.
- Invite quotations, compare suppliers, and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
- Issue purchase orders, monitor order progress, and resolve supply or logistics issues.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and assist in inventory control.
- Communicate with local and overseas suppliers (Asia/China) and coordinate across different time zones when necessary.
Requirements
- College diploma in supply chain, business administration, or related field.
- 2-3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in cosmetics, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge of cosmetic raw materials and packaging.
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Work Schedule
- Primarily standard office hours (Monday–Friday).
- This role may occasionally require early morning or evening communication with overseas suppliers in Asia, with flexible scheduling provided.
