The company is looking for 3 Full-Time Permanent Framers for its busy construction company to work in its operations in Calgary and its surrounding areas. Candidates must have at least 3 years’ experience as a skilled Framer in the Commercial and Residential industries, completion of high school andsomeindustry courses would be an asset. The company is looking for committed and responsible individuals willing to work shifts and overtime in a fast-paced industry. Must possess a clean criminal record. Language of work: English
Salary compensation $29.50/hr. for 40 hrs./week
Duties included but are not limited to:
- Preparation and installation of Roof Trusses, Floor Joists, Walls (Exterior & Interior), Backframing, stairs, decks, roof decks, etc.
- Read and interpret drawings and sketches or follow instructions from managers
- Measure, cut, shape and joint different materials made of wood or other materials
- Build foundational framing, install floor beams, lay subflooring, walls and roof systems
- Prepare layouts according to building codes
- Utilize common hand and power tools for general carpentry work, including repairs
- Understand and interpret the Alberta Building Code
Additional Requirements:
- Experience building multifamily projects
- Construction codes knowledge
- General layout, grades, walls, floors, roof
- Determine height, width, length, and other proportions for wall installations
- Select materials and equipment for the task at hand
- Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall
- Work from heights following Regulation and Code
- Work with various construction methods and housing products
- Install partitions, doors, and windows; must understand the Water/Air/Vapor Barrier Concerns for proper exterior Preparation
- Move materials and equipment (Must know how to drive a zoom boom lift)
- Audit various installed finished materials, building life systems, installations, fixtures and appliance for fit, finish and function
- Maintain a clean work site.
