Job Description
SAMRA HEATING & COOLING LTD. is actively looking for 03 Duct Installers urgently to provide a rewarding career with decent remuneration for long term.
Job Duties
Install, repair, and service interior or exterior prefabricated products such as sheet metals and ducts by using hand and power tools
Assess job site and set up equipment prior to commencing work
Carry out HVAC installation, which includes ducting, fasteners on hangers and ducts, and insulation
Load and unload material trucks with supplies and equipment
Measure and mark sheet metal according to template for cutting and installation
Anchor and hook-up HVAC machinery such as air handling units, fans, chillers, ventilation equipment
Cut, repair, adjust, install and make ducts for other technicians.
Determine layout and installation procedures.
Prepare and maintain work materials and supplies.
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, drawings and specifications
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on job sites
Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, to complete projects
Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
Job Requirements
· Completion of secondary school is must. Any post-secondary education in mechanical, civil, electrical or related field is an asset
· No previous experience is necessary. On the Job Training is provided
· BC or Interprovincial Journeyman Refrigeration Ticket will be an asset to have, but not mandatory
· Class 5 valid driver’s license is an asset, but not mandatory
· Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position
· Good communication skills in English
· Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
· Must have outstanding customer service skills
· Very punctual and dependable
Benefits
As per mutual agreement and BC Employment Standards Act 4 % vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period with 10 days of unpaid vacation or the option to get 10 days of paid vacation with no vacation pay on each pay period.
