We are Cypress Railings & Gates Ltd., a North Vancouver-based company specializing in custom railings, gates, stairs, and metal fabrication services. Established in 2017, we provide high-quality residential and commercial railing solutions across the Greater Vancouver Area. We are bonded, insured, and recognized for our skilled craftsmanship and customer service.

We are currently seeking experienced Welders to join our growing team.

Pay Rate: $54.00 – $56.00 per hour
Hours per Week: 34 – 40 hours

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and welding specifications for custom railing, gate, and metal fabrication projects
• Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding on steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and other metal components
• Cut, fit, assemble, and fabricate metal parts and structural components for residential and commercial railing systems
• Operate welding, grinding, polishing, and metal-cutting equipment safely and efficiently
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, precision, and compliance with company standards and safety regulations
• Repair and reinforce damaged metal structures and railing systems through welding and fabrication techniques
• Assist with the fabrication of custom stairs, gates, handrails, frames, supports, and architectural metal products
• Maintain welding tools, machinery, and equipment in proper working condition
• Follow workplace safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment at all times
• Collaborate with supervisors, fabricators, installers, and team members to complete projects within deadlines
• Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with WorkSafeBC safety standards

Requirements:

• Education: Secondary school completion or equivalent of experience is required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of welding experience is required
• Valid CWB certification all positions for welders (FCAW) are preferred.
• Valid trade certification is considered an asset.
• Hands-on experience with MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding processes is required.
• Experience in custom metal fabrication, railings, gates, structural steel, or ornamental metalwork is considered an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
